
Oat flour mix waffles
Brown and not very crispy delicious waffles

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 12 tbsp water
- 1 cup rolled oats ground
- 1½ cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 2 cup almond milk or your favorite plant-based milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 8 oz applesauce
- 1 tsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Mix the water and flaxseeds and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Add the rolled oats in the food processor and mix for 1-2 minutes until the oat flour is obtained.
- Mix the apple cider vinegar with the plant-based milk in a bowl. Stir for about 30 seconds.
- Add the applesauce, vanilla extract and the maple syrup to the milk/vinegar bowl and stir.
- Mix the oat flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl. We'll call this the dry bowl.
- Add the flaxseed/water mixture and milk mixture to the dry bowl and mix.

- Add to your waffle maker ¼ cup (approx. 60 ml) mixture for each waffle. Please see the instructions of your waffle maker regarding cook time. For the Cuisinart Griddler, set on 380 F and cook for five minutes.

Notes
- Serve with your favorite fruit and syrup.
- You can also add some walnuts or pecans to your plate.
