Plant-based Pâté

Equipment

  • Food Processor

Ingredients
 
 

  • 5¼ oz walnuts
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 5 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 lemon squeezed
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ⅛ tsp ground pepper optional
  • 1½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients and ½ cup water to the food processor and mix for 3-4 minutes while slowly adding the rest of the water.
  • Pour the mix into a pot and cook to boil. Boil for about 3-4 minutes until the mix thickens. Use medium-low heat and stir continuously. It will thicken even more once it cools.
  • Pour the content in smaller containers and let it cool. Store in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before enjoying it.

Notes

Does not freeze well. Enjoy with a whole wheat bread and tomatoes.
So tasty that not even a seven-year old can’t resist. YUM!!!
