Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 onion yellow
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 celery sticks
  • 4 carrots medium size
  • cup lentils
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Chop the veggies and add these to a pot with a little bit of water and salt. Saute for 5-7 minutes.

  • Add the lentils and the rest of the water to the pot and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the lentils are tender.

Notes

  • You can substitute the water with vegetable broth.
  • Add freshly ground pepper to taste.
  • Serve warm with whole-wheat bread.
